I had a Skype account and thought I would still be able to use it after it shut down, but I now realize that the last payment was charged in March and there have been no purchases or paid subscriptions since then. Is it possible that they automatically suspended or cancelled my subscription on their own?

Hi there,I’m locked out of a personal Microsoft account that was originally used for Skype. I enabled two-factor authentication (2FA) a while ago, but I no longer have access to the Microsoft Authenticator app that was set up with this account. I also do not have the 25-character recovery code that’s required to bypass 2FA. Here’s what I’ve already tried: Used the account recovery form several times, but was denied due to 2FA being enabled.Attempted to sign in from old devices and trusted browsers—no success.Signed into a different Microsoft account to reach support, but all support options re

I am using skype on the web portal which is still available for users like me who have a subscription active on skype, I have been trying to call phone numbers since this morning but whenever the call get's connected it gets disconnected immediately without any error, I have tried using a different device/browser or updating my browser or clearing cache, none of these are working. I really request your support in this issue as this is affecting my work.

I'm trying to reactivate my Skype credit. Microsoft tells me to sign in and click on "Reactivate Credit," but I can't find those words anywhere. Elsewhere in this forum, I see I'm supposed to find it in my account settings, but I can't find those, either. They're not under my name on this screen, and when I click "Settings" under the Skype menu, nothing happens.

I received the following email today:"Your credit will become inactive in 7 days You don't seem to have used any of your Skype Credit in a while. It becomes inactive if you haven't used it in 180 days. But don't worry - once it becomes inactive, you can reactivate it whenever you're ready to use it. Simply sign into your account online and follow the option to Reactivate credit. Your account details: Skype Name: xxxxxxx Balance: CAD12.28 How do you keep your balance active? It’s simple. Do any of the following and your Skype Credit balance will be active for another 180 days: - Call any phone

I haven't used skype in 10 or more years, but decided to export my conversations and files because of the upcoming service shutdown. I thought it might be interesting to see how I was using skype back then. But to my surprise, the export has nothing of mine. Instead it has thousands of files that clearly belong to someone else. How did that happen? There are thousands images of people, places, and things that I have never seen before... and they are fairly current (some showing dates in 2025 and 2024).With this much cross-contamination, it's probably a very good thing they're shutting it down.
