Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool.

Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post. Info on all installed devices should be available in this file.

Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

First look for any driver updates (especially video and sound) for your laptop model.

Also, what Firewall and Antivirus /security applications are installed on your computer?

Checked and seems like all drivers are up-to-date.

I am running F-Secure Anti-Virus for workstations.

Would that be a problem?

You can try to disable your Antivirus and see if this helps.

Please can anyone help me?  I had been using Skype for so many year now with the same computer. I am using Windows 7 & suddenly Skype started to always not respond. On the 1st hours of using Skype, it works fine but it started to freeze. I reinstalled different versions of Skype it it keeps on freezing still. On the event viewer, here's what it says;

The program Skype.exe version stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

Open Windows Event Viewer -> Custom Views -> Administrative Events. Look for the recent error messages with timestamp corresponding to Skype crash. Copy and paste here the text from the General tab.
