I have the same problem. My built in webcam on the laptop has been working perfectly with skype until today when I allowed the latest upgrade, and now it says it cannot find a webcam. I have tried the options menu and it can't even detect a camera for it to offer to make any changes to, yet there seems nothing wrong with the camera in other software. I've tried restarting, and running with nothing else opened up.

Help!

I have the same problem since yesterday. It seems to be a Skype issue, not good enough if you can’t contact Skype to see if they can fix the problem.

I have similar problem - my computer detects the "Logitec" camera but the Skype does not. How can I fix Skype settings? It is rather amusing because Skype detects the built-in microphone on my Logitec camera.

I got similar issue as well since 4 days ago, checked Device Manager and both my build-in and external webcam are working properly. But Video Settings function is disabled for unknown reason. Looking for help but no luck since couple days. Anyone could provide solution? I am using Skype version 5.8.59.158 on Wins 7.
