My webcam stop working after the latest update to skype March or April 2013

My webcam (Logitech Fusion) still works with other programs, I can't understand why it stop working with skype.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled skype, I've checked for updates to my webcam, there aren't any.

My webcam worked just fine with skype before I updated skype.

Has anyone else had this happen to them, and how did you correct the issue?

Yer kind of same here.

I just updated Skype and for some reason it has zoomed me in. I was on this about 3 hours ago and it was fine, I havn't touched anything on my laptop, it has just on it own zoomed in.

Any suggestions before I do a full rage quit?

Same here... Logitec HD C270.

Uninstalled + reinstalled skype, but no difference. If I try to check viedo settings in Tools, it immediately generates an error message about warning Microsoft and exits skype. I can, however, see others without problems.

Morning all!

My cam has fixed itself. What I actually did was just completely shut off skype, quit and all and then logged in again. Worked for me.

However I have realised that the capturing image i.e. your recording image on the bottom right is more rectangualar than normal, same situation with my friend.

I have exactly the same problem. Everything was fine till I upgraded to the latest Skype client on 6th of April 2013. I restarted my computer, shutdown the Skype and still the same problem. Your solution work in testing Video mode, as soon you use the camera in a video call it freezes to a still image.

I think new skype has a bug, Do you guys know whether one can go back to previous version.

I have solved this issue by simply go back to Skype 6.1, everything is back to normal.

Thanx for the idea, Droshani!

I uninstalled the new version and went back to 6.1. Haven't tried videocall yet, but if I go to video settings in Tools, it doesn't collapse as it used to, so it might even work :- )
