Hi almut,

As of the moment, you can only delete your profile picture if you are using Skype for Mac, and Skype for Android.

If you are using Mac:

1. Quit Skype.
2. Go to Users/[your account]/Library/Images/iChat Recent Pictures. To reach the respective folder:

a.) Open Finder and select Go > Go To Folder…
b.) In the dialog box, type ~/Library and click Go.

3. In the iChat Recent Pictures folder, select the pictures you’d like to delete by clicking on them and pressing the Apple key at the same time, then drag and drop them to the trash.
4. If you wish to refresh all contacts’ avatars, go to Users/[your account]/Library/Application Support/Skype/AvatarCache/. To do this, in the main menu, click Go > Home. In the right pane, navigate to: Library > Application Support > Skype > AvatarCache.
5. In the AvatarCache folder, select all the content by pressing the Apple and A keys at the same time, then drag and drop them to the trash.
6. Restart Skype.

For Android:

1. Sign in to Skype.
2. Tap 'Profile'.
3. Tap your profile picture.
4. Tap 'Clear picture' (remove your profile picture so it is no longer displayed to anyone on Skype).

Hope these steps helped you with your profile picture inquiry.

Hi, AC17, and welcome to the Community,

Skype does not advise when features, enhancements, or improvements and fixes will be released until the actual release date of a new version.

In the meantime, you can replace your picture with something else ... even a png or jpg file of a blank document or piece of paper.

Regards,

Elaine
