I came to skype.com and tried to sign up.

It said as I already have a hotmail account, so I should sign in with that.

So I did.

So then it logged me in and showed me my new skype id, which was 'live:MYNAME'

But what is my password?

Its not the same as my hotmail password is it? Because I tried that and it does not work.

I try to change my password but it says 'old password was not incorrect'.

I am stuck in a loop. HELP Please.

Ok I have resolved this issue for myself.

The solution is to CREATE your account from your mobile device in the first place, don't do it via PC or website. Otherwise you end up in a confusing mess, especially if you have a microsoft email account.

Can someone please tell me what my skype password becomes when I sign in with a hotmail account?

You don't use a Skype password. You will always sign in with your hotmail account my clicking on the "Sign in with Microsoft account" option.

Thank you very much for responding.

Ok, so how can I sign into skype on my android device? - Because there is only a username and password field? (No option to use a microsoft login.)

Does the latest version of skype for android have that option?
