There is not currently an avaliable version of Skype for the Google Chromebook. I have one, and there are alternatives. If you want to use Skype, you will have to get an app on the Chrome App Store called "imo messenger". You can send messeges via Skype, but the video calling crashes the Shockwave Flash Player. Googles alternative is Google Hangout. It has almost the same features as Skype and allows videochatting with more than one person at a time free of charge. However, you cannot import Skype contacts and everyone you videochat with must have a Google Account too. Miscrosoft is currently developing an online version of Skype via This is not yet avaliable.
