As you can tell from this forum, and the lack of any progress from Skype, this issue is still not resolved. I've been Tweeting every day to Skype and SkyeSupport about this issue in order to keep it visible and (hopefully) a priority to Skype software development.
Please join in the daily Tweet in order to help get this issue resolved, once and for all. Either Tweet @Skype and @SkypeSupport or follow me (bocaboy2591) and retweet my daily post.
If those of us who are negatively affected by this issue put in this effort to keep the issue front-and-center, it will get fixed. It's just a shame (and hopefully embarrassing) that Skype has to be bullied into addressing this issue.
Problem with bluetooth headset on iPad only during making a landline call with Skype. Possible cause
I have already posted a message:
Message says:
"I have stubmled on the following problem when using Skype on my iPad.
When I call a landline number through Skype, my bluetooth paired headset loses it's connection to iPad and I can hear the call only through the speaker of iPad. Also the icon in skype call screen is changed from bluetooth icon to speaker icon indicating the bluetooth disconnection and the reactivation of the speaker.
This does NOT happen if I call a mobile phone number !!!
Also this is hapenning always, no matter the headset, tried a simple LG and a more advanced Ericsson the MW600. I have also fully reset the Ericsson headset and tried again, but the problem persists. "
But I want to say 1-2 things more. As I mentined the problem comes on LANDLINE CALLS and in my case I belive that is not a problem of the specific Headset, as I tried two different headsets.
So what is the difference? I believe that the problem is due to the different frequencies (landline network, mobile network) the software has to deal with during the calling process. Perhaps the landline call, "feeds" the software with some strange freqs that are interpreted as hangup, disconnection, etc, I do not know.
But, once again, the problem is ALWAYS REPEATED. On landline number calls, BT always gets disconnected immediately as soon as the number is called being in the calling screen step. From this point the call continues and I can hear the calling beeps and also if the called party answers we shall speak but only through the speaker.
When I call a mobile number, everything goes smooth and BT does not disconnect, and I can hear and speak throught the BT...
Hope U find a solution soon.
Greetings from Greece.

I describe my problem in BDD semantic:
Given I connected the iPhone 4 with the BT Headset
When Launch skype and start a voice call
Then I see the device using Earpiece for the conversation.
When I switch to BT Headset
Then it switches to the BT Headset.
After I finish the first call
Then I start another voice call
then I see the device using Earpiece for the conversation
and I cannot switch directly to BT Headset.
If I wanna use BT Headset
Then I need to switch to something else first
Before I can select BT Headset.
I think the Jawbone BT Headset should support this,
as I can use it to listen music and making native phone calls/Facetime calls.
