Can't see myself on ipad2 when video chatting with someone else?

I used to be able to see myself just fine but all of a sudden I can't.  Is there some setting that was turned off somehow that just needs to be turned back on to fix this?  Also, when I first got ipad2 video chat didn't have any choppiness issues but just now when I video chatted there would be like a 3-5 second delay and then it would get really fast on the person who was on a PC's end for what they saw transmitting through my ipad2.  What gives?

My wife has run into exactly the same problem on her Ipad2. Everything was working as expected until about 2 weeks ago. Then she could no longer see herself on the IPad screen. Transmission and reception of video is fine. I have the basically the same setup but it is working fine.

During video chat, touch the camera icon, tap the front cam.

Tried touching both the front and back cameras during a video chat and still see only a black window in the Skype app. The cameras work as expected in other applications. Guess we'll try deleting and reinstalling Skype.

Yes, try to reinstall Skype.

Deleted and reinstalled Skype. This seems to have corrected the problem.
