ipad 3 video problem

I have the same problem Latest OS for iPad 3 (5.5.5). Skype version 4.0.1325 does not set up voice or video for outgoing calls. For incoming voice/video it works ... It sesams tjat Skype has not fixed the problems completely ... Thomas M

As previously suggested from Ormistol, I made my request through my PC. It worked. Now when I make my request on my iPad 3, I have no problems!

We are new to Skype- both have the iPad3. When you video chat on the MAC- on the MAC your can see yourself (in the lower corner) and the iPad3 user on the screen, but as the iPad3 user you can only see yourself in the lower corner. I chatted with the Skype Support team and their comment was "our technical team is working on it" and I also asked what the timeline was and was hung up on. So my conclusion- who knows? Just thought I would share, since many of us seem to be having the same issues. Sorry I didn't have better news.

Gee, I now have no problems. I can use both the front and back camera. When I skype someone, we can both see each other. Make sure you are using the video call. It does work, Good Luck!

You need to download it through th App store, not through Safari.

Sure makes me wonder how someone with an iPad 3 can make video calls when I can't even get a video icon in order to attempt it. And yes, I've tried every way possible to download different apps.

To me, the video button is disabled, so this is not really the problem...

Try Tango; it works with iPad and no issues.

Sorry to hear of your problem. Initially, I was having problems. However, once I connected through my PC, I was able to connect with my iPad3. Please see my previous post. Now I only use my iPad3 and it works great.
