Just downloaded app updated from iTunes though I show credit on the online access account; the new app update shows nil? Please help

This is a known issue. It's cosmetic, meaning your credit isn't actually gone, it's just a little out of sync with the status of your account. Try making a call to a phone number (an 800 number so you don't spend any, perhaps), or just letting it catch up.
