iPhone App update 9/27/11 has MANY PROBLEMS, PLEASE FIX.

This new version of Skype for iPhone is terrible. I chat quite a lot via Skype and it crashes every 5 to 10 minutes. The chat history reload time after every crash is extremely long and makes using the software a chore. I also have issues with my status not correctly being shown to others if my phone and PC are both open.

So please fix it. And while you do, please make the previous version available as it was far more stable than this mess.

I totally agree with you.. I would like to have the previous version of skype for iPhone please as the lates version that was updated on 27th Sept is really bad and not user friendly. Few things to highlight:

1) it's too annoying when I tab on the mute buton by mistake coz it's
2) the skype interface with the old version is more user friendly as you easily get to tab and choose the options unlike the new version ( you have to choose from the drop down list).
3) the new interface doesn't show the Internet or network connection status.
4) it doesn't work properly with 3G unlike with the previous version.
5) the message box is completed and not user friendly also.

I think the best version of the skype was the one proior to the latest one.

Please could you make the previous version of skyoe for iPhone available for us?

One more thing I forgot to mention..
The speaker function doesn't work properly as well. Also if I am using skype voice call and try to open another audio file or even watch a video on YouTube, it will disconnect my voice call unlike with the old versions of iPhone skype.

The new skype app for iPhone 4 is totally hideous, slow and hangs for ages when loading chat history. You can't copy text and is infuriating ....

I'm currently in the same boat as a lot here. I use skype alot for the messenger service, its pretty much replaced MSN in my books. However friends I talk to on a daily basis just arn't accessible via skype mobile.

I'm also running the latest patch + latest iOS. Literally whenever I press on the icon to talk to one of these friends - The system freezes up completley trying to load the backlog of messages. After that it decides to just give up and close the app down as it isn't working at optimum speed or in the time iOS allows for processes to complete before terminating.

Yes, very frustrating. I may drop Skype unless they fix quickly. It may have something to do with the Microsoft purchase of Skype. People got mad and quit? MS better fix this fast.

Between an iPhone 3GS and iPod, the receiving side does NOT show anything unless it is waiting in the Skype app window. What is that all about???

I cannot enter passcodes when I call in on conference calls on ATT.  It never transmitts the correct key sequence no matter how many times I try.
