It's still a problem, i have just downloaded the ipad app and i am a regular skype user on both macbook and on iphone and a there are a couple of major bugs in the UI for iPad for sure. The post by the moderator guy from Skype 6 months ago saying he cant replicate relates to contacts that are in the group Skype Contact i.e. they have a skypename AND have a phone number added as a skype phone number for the same contact, then you get the option to choose, but..... if its a skype contact only then no option, regardless of whether they have 5 phone numbers in the iPad contacts. It wonder if its an intentional move (yes conspiracy theorists) to create Skype as the contact hub and start dropping integration out to other contact repositories rather than a bug or it would surely have been fixed by now, cause its a MAJOR very annoying missing piece of functionality thats included in the mac and iphone versions that we are all used to! So it seems for the group iPad Contacts the only ones that work as described by the Skype guys post are those who have a skypename and at least one skype contact number otherwise its first number and thats a lottery... hope a fix is ready yesterday and my conspiracy theory fears prove to be unfounded, and yes i'm wide open to being corrected that i just dont know yet how to use this interface or set some preference or another - please please let it be that simple.
It's frustrating to see only one telephone number when there are several under iPad contact name. My suggestion: dump Skype for iPad, and use Skype for iPhone - the latter will list all the telephone numbers.
is this lack of functionality planned by design... as in intentionally? i mean think about it... the iphone skype version has enabled users to call multiple phone numbers for years.
