iOS 5 problem!

I seem to have solved the problem by going back to iOS4.

The alert problem occurs on IOS 5 , not on IOS 4.

Notifications... duhhh! I've had this problem without realising the iOS5 upgrade messed with notifications previously set. Thanks to this forum my problem is now resolved, for now anyway. For some reason I still receive two identical notifications in quick succession but at least I'm no longer missing messages.

I have this problem also. On both my wifes and my iPhone and on my iPad. This is very onconvenient as I use Skype for work when Im on call

I have removed it and tried to re-install and now I cant even open the application.

Thanks for the solution, finally working now. Just turned all the toggles to on in notification/skype and selected the old style popup box instead of the new top down notification. Now back to normal, thats a relief.

With the new os5 you have to add apps to the notification center in order to get notifications. By default skype is not added to the notification center. Now skype rings when the screen is off or on and when in background or forground, with alert style popup box.

Can someone help me please?

I had to make an update for my Apps in my IPhone (GS3) and I got also an update for my Skype. Since then Skype didn't work anymore. My partner in the States had the same problem. I thought that the best thing would be to install the new version iOS 5. in order to get Skype work properly.

Now Skype doesn't work properly anymore. It is v e r y s.. l.. o.. w and it breaks dows constantly. This problem occurred to everyone I know. It shows that the iOS 5 is very Skype unfriendly.

Can someone help?

We have three iPad2 at work. All of them are updated to IOS5 and the three of them have Skype for IPad ver. 3.5.118. One of the iPads is working properly. The other two have the same problem, you can not hear them when they speak. We compare the configuration for all 3 iPads and the Skype app and they are exaclty the same. 

Making some testing, we find out they have the same problem when they try to use the Facetime app. so for me it is a IOS5 issue. This new version of IOS does not have any options to configure the microphone on the iPad2. 

What it is hard for me to understand is why one of the iPad2 is working OK with any apps that uses the microphone.
