Skype turning off WiFi in my iPhone 4s

Hi in answer to the question i have now tried to use skype on my iphone outisde of my home on both a friends wi fi and public wi fi and it does the same thing disconnects immediatley for calls in / out/ IM and calls using my skype credit. i have outstanding credit and cant use this can i have a refund???

At the moment, after upgrade skype to 3.7.0.40 everything gets back to normal. I think that the problem is sorted.

I am using iPhone 4s ver 5.0.1 and Skype ver 3.7.40 I hve similar problem just when I make any call from Skype my wifi gets disconnected and I have to restart my router.
Same thing happens when I am at friends place also don't know wht to do please help

I am using 3.7.40 and I have the same issue. I agree with a previous comment that this can be something to do with the specific account I am using.

I tried to delete and reinstall and after I logged in skpye was doing the account sync with the server suddenly it died.

This issue only occurred after I upgraded to 3.7.40 two days before and skype turns into the busy/trying to logon mode when I bring it up from the background.

The problem is the new version of Skype has a compatability issue with the iPhone 4S. I reverted back to version 3.6.4 and have had absolutely no problems at all. Tested it again by upgrading fresh to the latest version and voila - problems with wifi freezing and have to reset my router/cold boot my phone and reinputting wifi details again. So i'll stick with the old version until Skype decides to fix it.

Ok... I also reverted to Skype version 3.6.97 following this link:

Although I am using Windows I can still find the .ipa file in the trash. You can't drag the .ipa file directly to iTunes however you can drag it to your Desktop and then from Desktop to your iTunes Library/App.

Let's wait for the upgrade.
