Skype doesn't wake up on incoming calls!

Hi
Why isn't the Skype app on iPhone wake up on incoming calls? Even if the app "is put aside"? We have tried to stay online and with the Skype app active then it works
But if you put it aside... Working on an other app eg Safari or...having the iPhone locked, then it doesn't wake up on incoming calls. Right now it feels troublesome!
Anybody experience the same?
An expert comment on this please

I have been having exactly the same problem on my iPhone 4S lately. It used to work well in the past. I also find that the Skype has been set to headphone instead of Speakerphone. I am unable to change the settings. Can anyone help?

I am expreiencing the same and I can't find the solution on the internet. Everyone is posting that it was fine before and now it is not working!

Also the syncing between the histories in iPhone and Mac is now messed up.

The same stuff after i upgraded my iPhone 4 with iOS 5. Skype version is 3.6.218.

Now thinking if i should downgrade back to iOS 4 because of this.

THis issue has driven me crazy for 12 months - solution is simple in the end. Since IOS5, it seems you need to turn Notifications on for Skype (In Settings, Notifications, Skype I've turned EVERYTHING on (incl "Alerts")

Works fine now.
