Skype 3.6 for iPhone and iPad [ Edited ]

Since me (ipod4, 4.3.3) and my girl-friend (iphone3gs, 4.3.5) upgraded to this version last week, the audio quality has become terrible. We've been using skype on iOS for years and now it has become seriously unusable. Whenever one of us says something, the other side can barely hear the voice, because of loud and strong whistling and scratchy noise what accompanies every tone. Silence between words is silence, so it's not a constant noise. This seems to happen only on the recording end: Calling skype on windows/linux, the iDevice person can hear everything fine, but the person at the computer can barely hear anything.

Please fix this!

Oh, and pretty please, re-enable the lost proxy support, which broke since 2.01?

Hi,

I am using skype on Ipod Touch 3G, iOS 5.0.1, Skype version 3.6.97.

I have to report:

1. the program keeps on crashing (expecially when I do a second call).

2. I can't get through to some Tiscali (italian phone company) numbers. It keeps on saying that the number it doesn't exists, so my guess is that the dialing is too fast.

On top of that, I would like to complain about the interface, the old one was much better, bigger keys instead of these small icons, and the menu was more intuitive.

I don't like that when the calls are finished, the program goes to messages instead of staying where it was before the call.

I am a paying customer (I have a montly subscription to the world plan) and I would like to see some improvements.

Until I can have calls be received by my iPhone Skype account while running in the background, Skype is worthless to me. 

I want to use your product, guys. This one little detail is, I guarantee you, going to explode the number of people who want to use Skype. But until you fix it, it's going to be an also-ran app on the iPhone. 

Let me know when you have an app that's actually useful on the iPhone, and I'll be first in line to use it.

Since this update,  I have noticed that the voice recieved by Desktop users is extremely scratchy.

At first, I thought this was something to do with my noise cancelling microphone on my iP4. It seems this is not the case. I have tried several other chat programs and voice calling programs with no problems. 

Thus, the problem is not with the hardware, but with Skype's software.

The voice sent from iDevices is absolutely terrible and makes skype on the iPhone useless.

I would hope you guys could do somethign about that ASAP.

To everyone who thinks Skype is disconnecting during a video call, watch the wifi notification icon in top left of your screen during your next "disconnect". It's actually knocking you off your wifi, a problem that Alien Blue had for the longest time.

the auto log off problem is still exist, even in the latest version3.6.218

it is really not good. we are paying sky for services which we are not getting a proper one.

this bug has been there for long time and still not be fixed yet.

I bought an Ipad 2 for my parents. I think you all are right. There seems to be a problem calling them through Skype. I am using Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Skype is more stable on it.
