I had the same problem, and I solved it after

"Sign in Automatically" -> off

I see the same problem on the iPhone. Totally mystifying why it keeps signing me out--sometimes 5 minutes after completing a call! It makes Skype almost useless since you can't receive calls!!

This has no effect except to force me to type in my password when I start Skype and find that it had logged itself off.

I have an iPad 2 3G+WiFi also iPad 1 3G+WiFi and am seeing the same problem. If leave Skype in the background for some time then it will log out. On opening Skype I see the automatic login occurring...

same exact problem on my 4s running the latest version of skype and ios 5.0.1. I'm going to try turning off automatic login as other have suggested and see if that helps.

I'll have to resort to something linke IM if that doesn't work. I really need it to stay online like is says it will.

Setting it to not automatically log in makes no difference.

My direct request to Skype support has gone unanswered. Microsoft's gonna wake up one day and discover their beautiful silver tray has become tarnished.

I wonder why Skype support guys are gracefully ignoring us... many unrelated people reported a problem, insist that the problem is there, and we get a deep silence from Skype staff.

I'm getting to believe these forums are here simply for the users to shout loud their frustrations and relieve their stress!

There are millions of other users really like and want to use Skype. Please HELP us!

I'm also having this problem. No matter what, Skype will disconnect after a while.
