Saying I'm logged into Skype but I'm not

I am trying to log into Skype wifi on my iPad and keeps stating I'm already online and I'm not. Please help resolve!

To clarify....are you trying to use Skype WiFi, which allows you to use Skype to pay for hotspots that are not free, or are you just trying to use wifi to sign in to Skype via the Skype app?

Ok. 

That's puzzling.  I've seen that problem reported numerous times with the Windows version and I know a solution for PC's.  But for the iPad... I'm guessing.

Maybe someone else will come along with a solution for you but in the mean time, what I'd try is completely uninstalling the Skype app from your iPad and then reinstalling it from the app store.  That may clear out whatever in the background is causing Skype to think you're already signed in when you're not.

I am logged into Skype. I get a welcome message with my name on it.   Below that, it tells me what I have and don't have.  But there is no message saying "start using Skype" and there is no menu either.  All I can get is explanations of all the services I can use, but I can't use anything.  I have never seen anything like this.  What's up?

When someone posts a problem like yours it's typically because they're logged in to their Skype account via a browser rather than the actual Skype program/app.

Assuming you're using an iPad, download the iPad app from the app store and sign in to your Skype name/account in the app.  That will let you use Skype's features.

although it says i am logged on to skype there is no menu bar and can't see any where to go for it
