I cannot get update to download. Cannot get Skype to open either. I am happy to delete and reinstall. It do. It know how to do that either. Please help! Thanks, Jan

I have the same problem, the software update does not download and my Skype icon was on waiting status. I have deleted the Skype software and tried to re-install however obtained the same waiting status. It is already on waiting for 12 hours. Please advice what to do. Thanks. Bahisham

Having the same problem. I have restarted the IPAD. Deleted it from iTunes on my computer and resynced them but it won't go away and is sucking the life out of my battery.

II have solved the problem. There was a podcast download that was still in progress, of which I didn't realised. Due to that download in progress, the iPAD was not able to progress with any other updates. I had to connect to ITunes from laptop,.reset and restart the iPAD. Lesson learnt, do not download very big files if your connection is slow. Thanks.
