IM send notification sound - hot to turn off?

I am using latest app with ipad2. In skype settings sounds are turned off. 

Still everytime I send an IM i get this annoying sound. how to get rid of it?

I have the same issue on ipad 3 with the latest version. Every time I send a message I get this bleep annoying everybody around.

Also got the same issue, only solution i've found so far is to mute the whole ipad! 

All the app settings and general notification settings have the sounds switched to off, yet the sound is still there every time you send an IM.

I'm having same issue. Totally muted iPad but when I send a skype IM on my iPad 3rd gen, it still gives the standard Skype outgoing IM sound.  Loud too.

Trying not to bug my coworkers but this makes it hard especially if there are lots of messages going back and forth.
