How do I delete a blocked contact request from recent contacts?

Hi, Here's the scenario: I get an unwanted contact request which I block, but it then continues to appear in recent contacts. Been there for a month now, and it's annoying!

Easy to delete on iPhone, but on iPad with it's limited funtionality, can it be done? Thanks

Re: How do I delete a blocked contact request from recent contacts?

Well there you go; I just answered the question whist playing around.

Bring up the offending contact in "recent", and slide your finger over the contact's name, from left to right. This will bring up a "Clear" option to the right of the contact's name. Tap it, and the contact is gone. Bliss!!! :(y):

If you have a MAC - and as suggested by another contributor - unblock and reblock the unwanted contact and a pop up menu invites you to block them permanently, click on this and they dissapear - perfect

Thank you very much. This unrequested contact has been driving me crazy and I have an iPad which appears to have limited functionality but obviously has in the right hands.

Re: How do I delete a contact?

Have contact listed under iPAD "Recently Contacted". Click until wobble brings up "x" which, when clicked brings up "Remove from Contacts but click "Remove" fails to remove contact and leaves all icons wobbling.  Return to normal by clicking Cancel (top right corner) but unknown and unwante contact is still there.  Have also tried swiping fromleft to right over contact name with no result.  Any more suggestions most welcome.

Re: How do I delete a blocked contact request from recent contacts?

I'm running on a MacBook Air.  Someone I don't know sent me a request to become a Skype "buddy".  I declined, but the requestor's handle still appears in my Recent Contacts list, and when I select it to block, the "Block" option in the Contacts menu is greyed-out.  Worse yet, the "Manage Blocked Users" window only allows UN-blocking already-blocked Users -- there is no "Add" button anywhere that I can find.  Has this character managed to hack my Skype app somehow?  If not, how is one supposed to Block someone who is not already a Contact?  From what I've seen here, the suggestion seems to be: make them a Contact and then Block them; this will presumably send an encouraging message (however temporarily) to the offending requestor.  I don't want to do that.  Any other suggestions?
