Can't get the bluetooth headset working on Skype (iPad 3)

Please help!

I'm using iPad 3 for Skype.  Even my bluetooth headset has been paired/connected with my iPad 3 but still can't use it on Skype.  Have checked with the bluetooth headset company and the headset shouldn't be a problem for using on iPad 3.

Any idea on how to fix it?

Forget to say....I did get it successfully once and then not working anymore.
