Bluetooth/ipad- only first call works

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I am running the latest Skype 3.5.454 on iPad 2. I have an LG bluetooth headset.

It works great for the first call, the bluetooth icon shows up and I can switch

between speaker and headset. Now, the next time I want to make a call, it just starts

with speaker and it doesn't let me select bluetooth. If I close skpe (from the multitasking bar) then it works again for the first call. Also, I noticed that while connected, if I press

the button in the headset to end the call, Skype doesn't do anything.

Anybody has seen this?

Thanks!

Re: Bluetooth/ipad- only first call works

I just loaded version 3.5.454 on an iPhone 3GS and I cannot get my Motorola bluetooth headset to work at all.  The app will only work on speakerphone and not ear piece.

I see *exactly* the same behavior. Plantronics Voyager Pro . Worked fine until upgrade to 3.5.454 on iPad 2.

After the latest updates both to iOS and Skype for iPad my BT-headset is NOT working again with Skype on iPad 2. I am really very disappointed. ((((

Re: Bluetooth/ipad- only first call works

I can get the first call to work on the IPad app;have to kill the app from the task bar to get it to work again. The iPhone version of the app works as far as using the Bluetooth, but both apps refuse to ring and send all calls to voicemail unless I sign out then sign back in. I wish I had my subscription money back. This is absolutely terrible. God forbid someone has to actually reach me someday. If you are using an iPad and are locked into a subscription use the iPhone version to at least get semi functioning BT.

Re: Bluetooth/ipad - all other apps recognize headset, only Skype doesn't

My Bluetooth headset works with all other iPad apps, like videos and YouTube. My headset also works fine with my mobile phone and laptop. Skype is the ONLY app that does not work with my headset. Closing and restarting the Skype app does not make it recognize the device. And yes, I also have the Plantronics Voyager. This is a $100 headset, and is easily the best one I've ever used. My iPad 2 is running 5.0.1.

Looks to me like a bug in the Skype app.

After you connect the contact, touch the speaker icon next to the red phone icon,so that the speaker will change to Bluetooth icon for BT working. It works every time when I use Bluetooth headset.
