Re: Bluetooth Headset

Hey Jeff and everone else,

Jeff, I'm glad you seem to have it resolved - that is awesome.

I promised I would check which Jawbone I had - I have model # C51-A05085-XX BCWW

Well, with everything resolved....  HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND.

Re: Bluetooth Headset

Hi Eric:

Yes it is working fine with the iphone on normal calls, it is when I try to make calls with skype that is really bad

I have an iPhone 3Gs, it is jailbroken and I have the bluetooth mono SB settings from Cydia installed, I've tried with and without the mono settings and still the sound is choppy, robot-like, it must be the Jawbone. I have a Jawbone Prime bluetooth.

Thanks Eric

Re: Bluetooth Headset

Thanks, Eric. I'm in France until Monday but can't wait to try it when I get home. The new update works great, as always, for calling US numbers over WiFi, even from Estonia!

Re: Bluetooth Headset

Hey Cagueda,

Maybe it is because of your phone being an older model.

Like I posted last night - I tried my old Jawbone and it worked just fine.

You could also try another Bluetooth headset and see if that may be the problem.  If you have a friend that wouldn't mind letting you pair up ther BT headset, you may try that.

Or, iPhone 5 should be out in about 10 days.....  LOL

Re: Bluetooth Headset

Eric,

I wanted to report that I tried Skype this morning on my iPhone using a Plantronics Pro, and it worked perfectly! Hooray!! My next experiment is to use it with my new Jambox for conference calls, however now that it recognizes BT I have no reason to believe it won't work as advertised.

So do you think anyone actually read this string and that it had any effect whatsoever on BT support, or was it just in the pipeline??

Re: Bluetooth Headset

Hey Bocaboy,

That is great news!  Welcome back to America too...  LOL

I am on the "outside" like you with regards to this SKYPE forum.

I have not been contacted by anyone at SKYPE so I have no idea if they read this or not.

But, I would like to think that their marketers and engineers would cruise through these forums to get a feel for how their product is playing out here in "our real world"...

If you (or anyone) wants to stay in touch, you can find me on Facebook with the same user name I have here, or (if it doesn't get blocked) at:  facebook.com/askeric

Re: Bluetooth Headset

Heby everyone, I just read all the string of messages and it seems for you all it works now, however I'm still struggling with my BT connection with Skype. It's funny, yesterday I was using it fine with iPad running 5.0 then I updated the lates skype app and today the calls don't recognized the BT device at all... Same thing with iPhone Is this just happening to me.?

Re: Bluetooth Headset

Check the string at http://community.skype.com/t5/iPhone/Bluetooth-connection-problem/m-p/274314/highlight/true#M1758 and you'll see that you're not the only one. The engineering team at Skype fixed Bluetooth with 5.0, then continued to break it over the last two updates.

Re: Bluetooth Headset

I'm going back to using MagicJack....works fine.  Sype can't or won't fix the bluetooth problem with Ipad and I don't want to use speaker phone in airports.  I give up, they won't even verbally address issue.
