App on my ipod touch doesnt let me call

I went on my skyoe today like i do everyday but today i wouldnt let me call or video-call my friends but the other day it did please help

On my iPod Touch, skype just flashes the opening screen and jumps back to the app screen. I can't do anything.

I cannot place or receive any calls using Skype on my Ipod. Whether calling another Skype account or a regular phone, the number will ring then promptly hang up with the message "call failed." The same "call failed" message appears when calling a phone number.

When recieving a call, Skype will ring, but as soon as I press a button to answer ( either audio or video) the call ends with the "call failed" message.
