Re: 3.7 - I cant sent message by pressing enter on bluetooth keyword it was fine in earlier version

I week has passed, still nothing? Is Skype waiting for some sort of critical mass before addressing this? There are already other topics reporting the same issue. Please fix this, you are losing customers!

Re: 3.7 - I cant sent message by pressing enter on bluetooth keyword it was fine in earlier version

I recently purchased a bluetooth keyboard.  I was hoping to find some resolution for this issue.  Anyone have any idea when this issue will be corrected?

Re: 3.7 - I cant sent message by pressing enter on bluetooth keyword it was fine in earlier version

6 and a half weeks and one major update later since reporting the issue... Not even a response that this bug has been acknowledged and is being worked on. Skype, please-please fix this. This bug has led me to try tapping my PC screen after entering a message because that is how I need to do it on my iPad. Who will reimburse me for all the screen wipes??

Re: 3.7 - I cant sent message by pressing enter on bluetooth keyword it was fine in earlier version

Hopefully skype fixes this, but in the meantime I would like to share a workaround for those using a bluetooth keyboard.

1) Go to accessibility options and set the 'three tap' home option to voice over. This enables the keyboard to switch between objects on the screen.

2) Open skype and tap the home button three times to enable voice over.

3) Now you can navigate the interface with the arrow keys. The only thing you have to know is that to simulate a 'tap' all you have to do is hit the up and down arrow key at the same time.

e.g. Navigate to typing text box, hit up/down together, type message (might have to hit esc after), use arrow keys to move to send button, hit up/down, then use arrow keys to move back to text box.

cheers,

Re: 3.7 - I cant sent message by pressing enter on bluetooth keyword it was fine in earlier version

Nice one guys...another new update. Thanks for the bells and whistles. WHEN IS THIS GOING TO BE FIXED? I mean come on, this was something that worked completely fine until someone messed up. These support forums are utterly useless, would someone please at least acknowledge that the solution for this is in the works? Would sending a complaint by mail work better?

Re: 3.7 - I can't sent message by pressing enter on bluetooth keyword it was fine in earlier version

i would really like to meet the person who decided that hitting the enter key should create a new line rather than send the message. I am sure that he/she has a university education and is probably very smart. And yet, they not only thought of that, but actually convinced a developer to implement it. I mean how often do you get the chance to meet somebody such little amount of common sense.? I am sure that a very large percentage of the total number of messages in skype for all the community is a single paragraph message. So why do the new line on enter? I mean, there has to be a reason, even if its embarrassingly silly. And yet, no matter how hard I try I can't for the life of me, understand how can a company can make the most frequent action that a user does, the most annoying experience. And to add to the frustration, sometimes the send button disappear and there is no rational way to get it back, is sort of magically appears. So you have to type a bunch of blank lines and keep touching the screen in hopes that it will work. Again, now that they are Microsoft, I am sure that their answer will become, "Have you tried to re installing the OS?" This lack of common sense makes me want to move my team off skype into another platform. Of course, this follows the fiasco that is Skype 5. Again, why take a clean function interface (skype 4) and turn it into a cacophony of badly designed functionality is beyond me. If you really have no good ideas, give your designers a holiday, don't update a user interface just because you have to. Remember, if it aint broke don't fix it. So keep it up skype, now that you are Microsoft, I am sure that version 6 will be reenginered so that you will have to press the START button to send a message. It makes sense no?

Re: 3.7 - I cant sent message by pressing enter on bluetooth keyword it was fine in earlier version

Dear Skype, I too would greatly appreciate it if there was an option to do this as described. I could settle for <command+enter> too! That would still allow me to type paragraphs

Most importantly, I'd like both things available on the keyboard. I'm sure you agree!
