I'm new to Skype and trying to understand how to do this right. I am traveling to UK in 2 weeks, staying in countryside (probably no WIFI). Will need to call/receive calls/texts from landline or IPhone 3G at my business in US. How do I do this cheaply? Or can I only use while in London with WIFI access, is it free then?
Also husband will be in London on IPhone 3G with WIFI access...if we both have WIFI, are calls/texts free? If he has WIFI & I don't, what is cost for me to call or receive calls from him? I have purchased Skype credit, but no Skype number.
If you use 3G abroad, then roaming fees might apply, but these are not charges related to Skype and to know more you therefore need to contact your mobile operator.
Skype charges are not dependent on whether you use WiFi or 3G. 1. Skype to Skype calls are free (except group video calls) 2. For calling landlines or mobiles from Skype you need whether Skype Credit or a subscription 3. To receive calls from landlines or mobiles on your Skype account, you need an Online Number
