Newbie travelling to Europe

We have an iPad with wifi plus 3G on an AT&T data plan and are planning to travel to Italy, France, and Spain using the iPad as a phone. Our concerns are calling between European countries, calling to the US from Europe, and the use of 3G networks with the AT&T international data plan. Any information would be appreciated.

Re: Newbie travelling to Europe

If you use 3G when outside of US, high roaming charges may apply. Check with with your provider beforehand.

It is suggested to use local European WiFi networks with Skype.

As for the calls to US, you can either use Skype Credit or get a calling subscription for US
