webcam screen splited? :O [ Edited ]

this is very strange why webcam got splited...i tested my webcam on other softwares..like yahoo, gmail...there it is working fine. only in skype i have this.

I uninstalled and reinstalled skype..but still same. But...the person with whom i am having video call..can see me clear. But i see him in the same splited screen.

If you have installed the most recent drivers for your nVidia card then most likely the solution will be to revert to the 280 version. See e.g. this:

It seems that the very new nVidia beta 290.36 may also work well with Skype:

I have the same problem, though I am using the latest nVidia driver.

The problem started after I updated the Skype to the latest one.

It's exactly the latest non-beta driver that's been causing those kind of problems.  Follow ruwim's advice and either roll back to the previous version or try the new beta.

Same for me , it happened when skype got updated and all my nvidia drivers are upto date, I am using Windows 8, inbuilt skype in windows 8 tile is working fine but the one I installed seperately works perfect until it got updated. it works fine in google+ too so i assume that its a skype bug related to the update , I use it seperately cause windows tile skype webcam video is only seen when it is open not like the desktop skype where you can see even when you work with other stuff
