Before trying to isolate an issue, it's always best that one is running the latest Skype release. Which may in itself resolve the issue.

Please download/install this version from here, when prompted click the open or run button: http://download.skype.com/SkypeSetup.exe

Hi. I've been working with the voice mail for my new account for 2 hours now with so many troubles. I have had another account for over a year and have never had issues, so this is very frustrating. My new account will allow me to record a new voice mail. However, it sounds so garbled and unprofessional. Not only that, it won't pickup when a caller calls and I decline the call or let it go to voice mail even though I have the correct options checked for this. I have the latest upgrade, and I have tested my headset with the test call as well as phone calls. It is very clear with those... just NOT the voice mail. Please HELP as I need this up and running by Monday. Thank you!
What version are you using?

I've been a huge skype customer since 2007.
Voice mail starting missing like you say back in November 2011.
Now since January 17th Voice Mail is complete off. Not one call gets through to Voice Mail.
I can't beleive they broke Voice Mail and have made no efforts to fix it.
I'm on Skype version 5.8.0.154

I am experiencing a problem with my voicemails. They appear to be there but there is no audio output when I play them. Any ideas on why this is happening? I have a number from Flybynumber. and run Windows 7. Thanks.

if your issue only happens when users call your Flybynumber, then likely you need to call Flybynumber
