skypein calls go directly to voicemail!

Hello all -

I use a skypeIn number to help me with the fact that I don't have good cellphone service at my house, but I do have a good Internet connection. So, what I do is:

- forward my cellphone # to my skypeIn # whenever I'm at my computer

- answer calls via skype with a headset, which sounds perfect

- when I leave home, I turn off the forwarding.

It works great, but recently I've realize that the calls are going straight to voicemail, every time! My skype doesn't ever ring now unless someone calls me skype-to-skype.

The only setting I could find that might relate was the 'wait x seconds before going to voicemail' which I have set to 16.

Does anyone know what might be causing this??? thanks! DAve

I just experienced the same issue.  I've missed several client calls to my skype on-line number, however, I received an e-mail notification that I received a voicemail. 

It appears that when people are calling me, after one ring, it goes right to voicemail, and I'm not on the phone.

Is this a recent issue that's being addressed?

I have the same issue just poped up since a few days. I'm not forwarding any phone , just plain skype in calls that I have been using for a while now. Since a few days though calls are going directly to my voicemail. I get rid of the problem by logging out and login back in into skype and then it works. However after some time (not sure how much yet) the problem comes back. As I see others are claiming this issue just started for them too I'm wondering if this could be an issue on skype side (not on my side...)?

Having same issue.... online number not ringing to my Win. Vista PC... I can make outgoing calls no problem. I'm not forwarding any calls to and from online number. I also have same Skype acct. on my droid and ipad.... do they conflict?

I need to add my name to this list, very frustrating in that I'm trying to work from home and have my office # fwd'd & I'm part of a small call center so missing calls is totally not cool. It's been going on for at least two weeks now, restarting the app seems to help but for how long before whatever is causing the problem does it again and I need to restart. then I'm getting an IM from a coworker about having missed yet another call. SOMETHING'S WRONG SKYPE, PLEASE ADDRESS THIS!!

I'm losing money and I've just recently paid for a year. Why have there been so many issues with skype in this last 2 years?

You can add my entire office to this problem. Calls were going directly to VM intermittently - now they all go directly to VM. HEY SKYPE - GET THIS FIXED! I was on with skype support chat regarding this and the guy acted like he had never heard of this issue!

Attention skype support -

This is a HUGE issue for me.  I use Skype with most features aside from Group video.  I use it for my international calling, etc... But you are about to lose my business if you can't figure out how to fix this, now.

I am losing the ability to take calls from my clients, and that is not acceptable!

And another one... Please can fix this urgently as the best part of my communication and my business depend on my SkypeIn number and I keep missing calls! 

It has been going on for quite a while so I would have expected this to be top priority and fixed by now.... ?
