skypein calls go directly to voicemail!

So I'm not the only one.

This is driving me crazy. I have tried every suggestion on both the English and German forums. I've tried all the non-skype support suggestions I could find on the Internet.

This problem is showing up under fresh and older installations of the the both the newest Skype 5.9 as well as everything I've tried, from 3.8 on.

It shows up under Ubuntu 12.04 and 10.4

It shows up under Windows 2000

It shows up under Windowx XP

It shows up under Vista

It shows up under Windows 7

It shows up on my Android phone

Regardless of language or other settings, and over the last two weeks I've tried everything.

Any and all help will be much appreciated. What will not be much appreciated is being told, as if I were not only a child but also the first and only person of over 25 million that I'm the only one who can't make Skype work. Been there, done that on the German forum. So don't need to hear that.

I like Skype, I've been with you since your early public betas...please, please fix this so I can stay with you.

This is the one and only Skype problem in the last several years which has, one, taken so very long to convince anyone in charge that we actually do have a problem and, two, which has not been resolved immediately. It must be one nasty problem.

OH- it doesn't matter whether I'm in the US or Europe. Nor does the means of connection matter, Wi-Fi, cable, internet stick, dsl-direct, TV-cable-modem.

Yes, I have been trying hard to solve this.

Still got the problem here as well. I get patches where I can get incoming calls, then I have patches where I just received voicemail with no missed calls.

Support suggested that I disabled then re-enabled voicemail. Didn't really do anything.

I'm getting a feeling this may be something to do with firewall setups, but I don't really understand computers on this level, so not sure where to take it from here.

It does seem to be random.  Today I could receive calls all day.  Yesterday it only lasted for a few hours after restarting Skype.

Changing voicemail settings does not seem to get things going.  Restarting Skype or logging out and back in certainly seem to allow calls to come in, perhaps only for a short while though.

I would start to wonder if this issue boarders on a breach of the agreement we signed in terms of not meeting SLA.  Maybe Skype will fix the issue if we all start asking for a credit for the time that it doesn't work.

Can you please supply this information of calls to your online number directly forwarded to voicemail so our engineers can have a closer look:

• caller number
• called online number
• date/time of the call (with time zone)

Any updates on this issues?  Still having calls go to voicemail.  Signing out and back in always seems to fix it but for how long?  Can be for an hour to all day (it doesn't seem to last much longer than that).  I posted a few days' test calls to Claudius, I assume other have too.

Claudius: Any updates on progress using these logs?
