skype not responding

i am so upset that i can't access skype today...since i didn't open it for so long...whenver i open skype i can't put my password and when i click on the box for password it will not respond, what i did is uninstall it and install again and it happens the same..uninstall it again restart my computer and install again and same thing happens again...pls help me what should i do to properly work and go back to normal skype on my computer...thanks

I suggest you start trying to correct your problem by updating to the latest version.  Use this link to download and then run the full installer:

When the install is complete, see if you can then signin to Skype.  If not, report back with the details of what happens when you try to signin.
