Re: saving profile picture to your computer

My Computer > Local Disk (C:happy: [or w/e letter drive you use as default] > users > your user name > appdata > roaming > skype > pictures

If you can't see the Skype folder, you may need to enable show hidden files and folders options in Control Panel > appearance and personalization > folder options.

It should work off of any computer if you have skype running and are signed in.

Re: saving profile picture to your computer

Not quite correct. Location of the Pictures folder is different on Windows XP.

C:\Documents and Settings\your win user name\Application Data\Skype\\Pictures

Moreover, this has nothing to do with the path where some one wants to save profile picture using 3rd party applications.

Re: saving profile picture to your computer

Yes, location is different depending on OS. I was referring to Win 7 - to clarify. Vista should be similar, but I've never used it so can't say for certain.

The question was "How do you save your profile picture on Skype to your computer?" I know this has nothing to do with the path where one would save their profile picture using a 3rd party app, not once did I mention a 3rd party app. I simply posted the Explorer breadcrumb where he can find the Skype profile picture so that he can copy and paste it to his computer.

What 3rd party app are you referring to?

Re: saving profile picture to your computer

Hi!! I had the same problem when i wanted to make my skype profile pic my facebook profile pic. The way I figured out of how to save your skype pic to your computer is by:

1. Go to skype profile

2. Go to edit profile

3. Go to change profile pic

4. It will give a list of all your past skype profile pics.

5. Click and drag the desired pic into "pictures" on the left of where you are in the list of skype pics.

If you go to my computer and go to pictures, you will find your pic.
