"I am already signed in"

[ Edited ]

I have been a user for several years.

I have tried signing into Skype multiple times, not being succesful once. I get an error about how I cannot sign in because I am already signed in.

I've uninstalled Skype, restarted my computer. Uninstalled skype, then restarted my computer, THEN reinstalled skype, and I STILL get the error. I'm honestly really frustrated at this point. Please help.

EDIT: I may have posted this in the wrong section, and for that I am sorry.

Re: "I am already signed in"

Try to reset skype settings

Exit Skype : From the system tray >> right click on the skype icon and click "Quit Skype"

Click Start >> Run Type: %appdata% Rename folder "Skype" to "Old_Skype"

Re-run Skype

Note: You will need your password to re-log on, and re-set any options from default

Regards,
Tamim

I am signed in but then what? What happens next? There is no icon to click--how do I use Skype?

I signed in--Yeah so what? What happens next? There is no Skype icon to use. How do you use Skype when you sign in? What happens next? I have just bought this new MacBook--perhaps it is no longer available on Mac. None of you seem to know!.
