cant log in anymore, blue screen only

can someone please help me? i have a pc with windows 7. it came with skype already on it. i have used skype on this pc once or twice, by clicking on the 'skype' icon on the screen. i have tried to use it again, this time after logging in it produced a window with data in it. i tried downloading skype again, and now when i click the skype icon, it just gives me a blue skype screen from which i cannot do anything, not even log in.

 

any ideas????  any help would be greatly appreciated! :happy:

The problem is with your Internet Explorer and JavaScript.

Be careful with selecting the correct procedure corresponding to your Windows system and the version of Internet Explorer.

hey thanks so much for the info. i had seen this advice before and had tried it, though it had the incorrect command for internet explorer 9. really appreciate the help, its people like you that make people like me have easier lives in the computer world :happy:

Great that it’s working for you now, but what do you mean by “incorrect command for internet explorer 9”?

 

If something is wrong in the instructions, then it must be corrected.

Hello, I am having the same issue. However, when I try to access the link above I am told that "An invalid set of parameters has been specified in the url" I don't know what this means. But, I am wondering if the issue is w/ IE, and I only use Mozilla, will uninstalling IE take care of the issue?

What version of Windows are you on (XP, Vista, Windows 7)? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.

 

P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.

The same thing is happening to me and I don't know how to fix it.  When I follow the links on this message, it doesn't help, it's says: "invalid parameters have been specificied in the url".  Please, can you send me the solution to this problem.  I have only the blue screen.  I just purchased this computer 2 weeks ago and I just downloaded skype.  I was able to sign in and sometimes it works, but if I sign out once and try to get back in, I get the blue screen.  Perhaps I need an older version of skype? Please help!  Thanks

What is the version of Skype program you are on now?
In Skype, Click Help >> About Skype

Are you running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows?
