Gramma Anne here. Oi vey... Paid 10.00 on sept 5/11 and thought I was paying for free video and mobile calls but on my window, when I wanted to make a call this morning, it only showed mobile possibility. The video button is shaded. On the left side it showed "9.37 no subscription". I have gotten a few video calls from my son but I didn't notice if the video button was shaded at that time. What did I do wrong, please? Thanks!

If the contact selected is offline the Video Call button will be lightened and not functional. When the contact's status changes to online, the Video Call button will become bright green and be clickable.
My brother's account had been stolen.Your customer service help him to find back.But now the video call button is grey.And when my brother is on line, I can not find him either.Why?How to solve it?
This is a new issue for me. I am now unable to make an individual video call. I see I have the option to make a video call to a group, but now my individuals don't show a video call option. Also, I do not have "tools" showing above in the menu options. Help, please!

What version of Skype do you have installed? Click on Help > About Skype for the specific version number.
Do the contacts that don't have the option for a video call have an online icon like this next to their Skype name on your Contacts List:
or might they have an icon like this, indicating that contact is only with a phone number:
I just purchased a new desktop computer which has Windows 8. I have already downloaded the Skype software for Windows 8. I have a user name and password; I am able to sign in.
I cannot, however, locate any "button" anywhere that allows me to make a video call, to look at my previous contacts, to add new contacts.
Please help...my son and two small granddaughters are waiting to see and hear from me. Thank you!
