Video starts working then stops

I have Windows 7 and since Saturday my webcam has stopped working properly on Skype. I know the webcam is working i can see myself on the video on my computer. When I start up a Skype call the video will work for about a minute and then freezes. I can hear and see the person on the other side, they can hear me but can't see me. The camera just freezes. I have downloaded the latest software for the camera (Logitech C500) and also for Skype. Windows has been updated also. I can't find anything wrong on my end. Is there something wrong with Skype? This happened all of a sudden starting Saturday. This is very important to me, I do business calls all the time using Skype. Please help sove this problem!

What is the CPU load when you start the video?

Re: Video starts working then stops

I'm having a similar problem, though I have a different camera. I can see the video of myself until I make a call, at which point the window promptly turns black. Neither I nor the person I'm talking to can see me. Then, when the call ends, the video immediately reappears.

Re: Video starts working then stops

My Logitech C500 video camera is working again. I think the problem I was having had something to do with the Skype software.  I downloaded a Skype software upgrade, restarted the computer and now the camera is working again. I didn't receive any notices from Skype to alert me of any upgrades available, it would be nice if Skype could let their customers know of any potential problems and that there is a free upgrade available!

How about a customer service phone #????
