Video prob: incoming call -NO, outgoing call- OK??

Just posting here since I think i posted yesterdays in the wrong forum:

Curious video issue- can initiate successfully,but not receive calls without disconnect

If i receive an incoming video or voice call and accept, I receive a 'problem with playback device' error and the call disconnects. However if i then call that person right back with video or audio call, all connects fine - they see/hear me, I see/hear them perfectly. I dont get why i cant get a working INCOMING call: video or audio.

Any suggestions for this? Not sure why incoming call direction would not work.

The "problem with playback device" error relates to the listening device set in Tools > Options > Audio Settings > Speakers.

It's puzzling why the error would happen with incoming calls and not outgoing, but look at that setting.  Click on the pull down and see what options are available.  Try any other choices that seem reasonable and see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks for the help g4pilut. I did a check of the settings as you mentioned and there was a setting for some sort of audio enhancement option turned on. I simply clicked the option to 'restore defaults' and that fixed the problem. now have 2-directional call acceptance!
