Video Monitor Window

When I first start a video call, there is a video monitor window that comes up when I minimize the call.  This window is always on top of other windows on my desktop so I can continue to view the call as I'm performing other tasks.  I've figured out how to close this window but I dont' see any way to get it back once you closed it. 

Any thoughts on how I can get this window back?

Once you manually close that window the only way to get it back is to end and then re-start the call.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. It's a great feature so hopefully they implement a solution in a future release.

I have the same question, six months has passed since that and nobody from skype technical team give the answer. It's very troublesome if several time I have to hang up and then ask the collocutor to pick up the call again.

You don’t need to ever close the pop-out window. It will disappear whenever Skype is again in focus. However, if you want to be able to manually show and close this window, then you can do this:

Go to Tools -> Options -> Call settings -> Show advanced options. Uncheck the option: “Show call controls when Skype is in the background”.  You will now be able to manually activate the pop-out window using the monitor icon on the call toolbar.
