My skype account is not letting me make video calls to any foreign country but I can make the video calls within the united states. Would you have any explanation for that?

There are a small number of countries that may block Skype service but for the most part calls to anywhere on the globe is the same as calling within the U.S.

Where are you trying to call, and what are the symptoms when the call is unsuccessful?

Well the country that I intend calling is Egypt but I can receive calls from them currently and I have made calls there in the past. When I log in the video button is disabled for some reason. Do you know why that is? Also what do you suggest I do? How can I fix it and I have already downloaded the most up to date skype software. I have a windows XP and also the free version.

The Video Call button is greyed out and won't function when the contact select is Offline.  When that contact's status becomes Online, the button will turn bright green and become clickable.
