I use Skype many times a day, every day. So do many of my colleagues and friends. I have yet to find anyone who finds the newer versions of Skype as easy to use as the older versions. I deliberately stay on version 4.2.0.187 myself. Most people find the newer versions much harder to use - indeed they don't even seem to know many of the functions that are available.
Primary issues seem to be that the software deliberately hides useful items, such as functional icons (needlessly hidden in mouse-over pop-ups) and contacts actually in a conversation but not yet answered the call (needlessly hidden goodness-knows-where). The difficulties my contacts get into, trying to use Skype, really suggests that there has been no useability testing at all. I am sure this is not the case, but since I could find no threads on useability here, I thought perhaps Skype might appreciate some feedback.
Love and respect
Chris
