My Skype stopped working this morning :smileysad:. It has enabled automatic updates and it worked normal so far. But this morning I got a message: The installed product does not match the installation source(s). Until a matching source is provided or the installed product and source are synchronized, this action can not be performed.
I've tried to reinstall Skype but I was not able to unistall it.
No, I can't start skype anyway. It starts upgrading automaticaly and shows me the same error - says that older 5.3 version can't be removed and closes everything.
Did you ever get this fixed? I am having the same problem. Only I tried the full uninstall and now have Skype 5.0 partially installed. Can't uninstall that and can't upgrade to any other version.
Please go here and then click the "Fixit" icon/button: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549
Then install Skype from here: http://skype.com/go/getskype-full
I have the same problem and this solution didn't work for me.
