Hello skype community,
I have a massive problem updating my skype and it's becoming more and more of a nuisance. Whenever I try to update my skype it says: "A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file: C:\ProgramData\Skype\{EE7257A2-39A2-4D2F-9DAC-F9F2

You may try the procedure outlined here in order to install a new version of Skype without using any installer program:
Be aware that as of today, the latest Skype version is 5.10.0.114
http://download.skype.com/msi/SkypeSetup_5.10.0.11
You should also be advised to make a copy of the currently installed Skype.exe file; just in the case that you will regret the update.

If you check that folder, you'll see that the file SkypeSetup_5.8.0.156.msi (or whatever version you're trying to install) doesn't exist. In my case it's SkypeSetup_6.1.0.129.msi. There is just a Skype.msi file. So if you'll rename that file to the one he is looking for, and re-run the installation, he can find the file.
