Unterminated Tag: Font. error message after upgrading to 5.9 from 5.8 [ Edited ]

I have attempted all the suggested fixes in this thread, but the "Unterminated Tag: Font." message still appears at every Skype load up.  While this does not appear to affect the function of Skype, but it is still annoying nonetheless.  Therefore, I had to rollback to previous version 5.8.0.158 and the annoying error message is gone.

I hope Skype can fix this issue in future updates.  Thank you.

Are you also using Chinese UI language? Do you still have this problem after changing to English?

Try disabling promotions and tips in Skype options -> Notifications -> Alerts & Messages

Yes, yes. This bug is easily reproducible. Enabling Promotions and Tips and changing the UI language to Chinese traditional results in this error message.

You can self reproduce this bug on your computer. Enable Promotions and Tips in your Skype. Change the UI language to Chinese traditional. The above error message will appear immediately.

Hi! I have the same problem. The same error message and I have Skype 5.9 in Spanish.
I try to find the Log files, and I don't have any Log file in any of both folders (%appdata%\Skype\username or Program Files/Skype/Phone)

Apparently there is the same bug in Spanish user interface as in Chinese. Another Spanish user has the same problem:

Have you tried the workaround posted by Claudius? Go to Tools -> Options -> Notifications -> Alerts & Messages. Uncheck Promotions and Tips.

This behaviour can only be reproduced when some Tips or Alerts are actually shown in Skype. Yesterday this was the case, today not. I was right now trying with several language settings and no Alerts or Tips are shown in Skype at all. As far as I know, whether or not these messages are shown might also depend on the users location (IP address?). The behaviour is similar to the Skype ads popping sometimes up on the top of the Home page for users with English UI setting. Yesterday they were popping up each time, today no.

Edit: (12:50 Danish time). Now Alerts and Notifications started to appear in one of my Skype clients. However, changing the UI language to Chinese or Spanish doesn’t any more trigger the error message. Something has changed since yesterday.
