Unable to get the Login Page after installation

Hello All,

Help needed!!..Its been couple of days I have installed the latest version of skype, however I do not see the Login Page. It only gives me the main window of skype with Skype, Tools and Help option.

Please find the screen shot attached of the inital screen that i get.

Would appriciate if somebody could help me with the issue.

Be careful to follow the steps specific to your version if Windows and Internet Explorer.

However, no luck on my side..still the same screen, I have the Javascript which is fine on Mozilla firefox, but not in IE 9, I do not get the popup message as mentioned on Mr. Ed's Javascript Tester.

I am using Windows 7, x64 based, Mozilla firefox 12.0 and IE 9

Firefox has no bearing your problem.

Did you follow all of these steps?

• Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.
• The Command Prompt window should show: C:\Windows\SysWoW64>
• If this is not the case, then in the Command Prompt type:  cd c:\windows\syswow64 and press Enter.
• Type this and then press Enter: regsvr32 jscript.dll
• If you have IE9 installed type this and press Enter: regsvr32 jscript9.dll
• After each Enter you should receive a message: DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded.
• Reboot your computer.

No, even those steps did not work..

Have you received positive confirmation on each of the regsvr32 commands? Have you tested if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript?

Open in your Internet Explorer (no other browser but only IE 32-bit version) this page:

Click on the “Simply Click This Button” button and watch the response.

regsvr32 jscript.dll cmd was sucessful. However,regsvr32 jscript9.dll cmd gives me an error message "the module jscript.dll was loaded but the call to dllregisterserver failed with error code 0x80004005 (please find the screen shot attached)

IE 9 : Does not give me any response when i click on the button.

Ok.

I suggest you try uninstalling IE 9 and see if you can signin to Skype with IE 8 remaining.  If that works, you can try a fresh install of IE 9.

If you care, chances are that a fresh install of IE 9 will work.

If you don't care, glad you're up and running.
