Unable To uninstall.

I downloaded skype to talk to a long distance friend and now I can't get it off my computer. I want to get It off this computer and put it on another. It is bogging it down. Now everyone's at my throat to get it off. Help Please. I downloaded it yesterday.

Re: Unable To uninstall.

Try this, rerun the uninstall for skype, if this fails, go to the two files below and delete them(completely), however, the last is unadvisable, if you delete the wrong file, you might ruin a different program.

C:\ProgramData\
C:\Program files (x86)\

Look Skype up in both and I assume you're running on Windows 7.

Re: Unable To uninstall.

Whoa....that advice can be misread to think it's suggesting those two folders be deleted, which would be a big mistake!

To the original poster, if Skype is slowing down your PC it should suffice to just stop it from starting with you start Windows, but if you want to completely uninstall it, follow the steps in this FAQ:
