They can't hear me!!!!!!!

Im trying to skype someone, and we noticed i can hear them but they cant hear me. I did a test call and recorded a message, the message was played back and everything seemed fine. But tryd to skype back my family and they still couldnt hear me. So frustrating, what can i do??????

The problem may be at your family's end. Do they have the same problem with other contacts? Or have they tried a call to the Test site?

I am having the exact same problem... I can hear them fine, but they can't hear me.. I have went through all the sound settings and everything seems to be fine. And better yet, people can hear me just fine in ventrilo. So any ideas what could be wrong in skype? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Any ideas?

Ok, so I just fixed it, I have NO IDEA why what i did fixed it but it did. All I did was go into the Privacy Settings and check the boxes to accept calls/video calls/and messeges from anyone rather than those just on my contacts list. It's really weird that this fixed my problem because the ppl i was trying to talk to were on my contact list. But whatever, it's fixed lmfao....
