Hey.
So I installed Skype 5.5 yesterday after using the BETA for a good month and realized that the taskbar integration in Windows 7 was gone. I had trouble pinning Skype to the taskbar to begin with and now it appears that the only options that show when right-clicking the icon are: "Skype", "Unpin program from taskbar" and "Close this window".
Where is the option to EXIT Skype when right-clicking its icon in the taskbar?
This was a very nice and speedy way to close it entirely. I know that I can do it with the systray icon, but I do not want to. Mainly because I do not display this kind of icon so it is a hassle to go looking for it, and also because I would LOVE to make it disappear altogether from the systray.

I have same issue.
I owned Windows 7 64-bit SP1.
On my job I've seen that new skype 5.5 is working normally on one of my college's laptop. By for me - it is totally freaked, that I have 3 times to reinstall it, and only then, I remebered about tray icon with 'quit' option.

Alright - I just noticed that if I switch back to Skype 5.5 BETA everything’s back to normal.
I tried removing completely Skype from my computer twice, but it did not fix the issue as far as the final version of 5.5 is concerned... Very annoying.

Then what exactly do I do when I’m in the "Advanced Settings" tab?

So you are saying that the minimize to tray option is not there for you?

No sign out command in the menu when right-clicking on skype icon in taskbar in Skype 5.5, but you can sign out from skype menu.

The contextual (when right-clicking on the Skype icon in the taskbar) menu lacks two options that used to be on top in 5.5 BETA and previous versions - namely, "Disconnect" and "Exit Skype".
Also, I just noticed that even though I installed it in French and the menu bar is in French, the log-in screen is in English (Welcome to Skype, etc.... whereas it used to be in French in the BETA. I know that I can change the language in the "Tools" menu, which works but if I restart Skype the log-in screen will be in English.
I took a screenshot but the forum won’t let me post images.

Skype 5.5.0.112 (edited) and Windows 7 Ultimate. Both Sign Out and Quit options are still there. Note: When you are already signed out, the option to Sign Out and Quit will not be available. Only Skype and Unpin This Program from taskbar will be displayed.

The version of Skype that is available for download on Skype.com and that I’m running on Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bits) is 5.5.0.112.
And I agree with all you said - only, I just don’t have these options anymore. Whether Skype be open or not.
